This policy explains what personal information Chetu Chemist collects and how we handle it. It is written to comply with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.

What this website collects
This website has no contact form, no account system, no newsletter sign-up and no advertising trackers. It does not ask you for personal information, and it does not set cookies for tracking or profiling.
Our hosting provider processes standard technical information required to serve a web page, such as IP address and browser type. This is used for security and to keep the site running, not to identify you.
When you contact us
If you call or send us a WhatsApp message, we receive your phone number and whatever you choose to tell us. WhatsApp is operated by Meta and its own privacy terms apply to messages in transit; we do not control that.
We use what you tell us to answer your question, dispense correctly, or arrange a delivery. We do not sell it, and we do not share it for marketing.
Health information
Health information is sensitive personal data and we treat it as such. Anything you tell us about your symptoms, and any test result taken at our counter, is confidential. We do not discuss it with anyone else, including family members, without your agreement, except where the law requires disclosure.
Test results taken at the counter are given to you. Where we keep a record, for instance a blood pressure log you have asked us to maintain, it is kept securely and only for as long as it is useful to you.
Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act, 2019 you have the right to:
- be informed of how your data is used
- access the personal data we hold about you
- have inaccurate data corrected
- request deletion of your data
- object to how your data is processed

Retention
We keep records only as long as necessary for the purpose they were collected for, or as long as pharmacy record-keeping requirements demand.
